Compact cars are usually the most popular choice among city drivers because of their relatively small size and ability to get around town without much of a hassle. The Honda Civic Denver has been one of those top choices when it comes to a new or used purchase and this year Honda has brought up the standards with their latest Civic. The increase of the use of technology within the designs of the 2014 Civic coupe is much greater than before, thanks to the progress being made in science. Throughout the interior there are several new features that are not just pleasing to the eye but they have greater functionality and usefulness as well. The new Civic provides an amazing environment inside the vehicle with a large touch screen, a nicely illuminated speedometer, and above that there is a new multi information display with real time information being constantly presented to the driver in an easy-to-see fashion. Each 2014 Honda Civic Denver is also equipped with a back-up camera with several different view settings which is a huge technological advancement for the Civic line. There are many many more electronic features which are fitted throughout the cabin that make this vehicle a spectacular development, but the most important features are how the vehicle works. There are some accessories to fit around the wheels for various conditions and the tires can be upgraded for better performance. Also, the drivetrain has been prepared for the worst with a variety of safety and functionality enhancements.

Honda Civic Denver Power Assisted Brakes
Safety is an important factor in the design of vehicles these days, especially with all of the laws that are in place to enact those safety standards. For this and many other reasons Honda has implemented some innovative designs into the latest model of the Civic that were not seen to the same extent in the previous models. When it comes to the wheels, some advanced electronic systems are being used and this starts with the brake system. The brakes on the latest Honda Civic Denver are made of high quality material and the front brakes are power assisted and ventilated. These front brakes are disc brakes and on the rear axle are drum brakes which are also power assisted for the optimal performance. These are standard on the first trim version of the Honda Civic, but the two higher trim versions have a larger set of rear drum brakes which provide a bit more of a safety net while driving. Also to note, the rear brakes on the higher two trims are solid disc brakes as well which is a bit more quality than the primary trim version.

Honda Civic Denver Safety and Electronic Brake Assistance
The Honda Civic, as mentioned previously, is equipped with many safety standards to reduce the risk of collisions or loss of control and ensure the driver and passengers’ well being. The wheels play a large role as the brake system is built with an advanced Anti-Lock Braking System that has its own benefits attached. First of all, the anti-lock brakes are designed to pulse the brakes while the vehicle is attempting to stop but it is not getting any traction. The ABS pulsing of the brakes helps to slow and stop the vehicle much more effectively. It does this by briefly giving the tires a chance to regain traction on the road, and then using that time to hit the brakes once again. The other side of power assisted brake system is the innovative Electronic Brake Distribution which automatically balances the force of the brakes on each wheel so that one or more wheels are not using more braking power than the other wheels. This effective method of braking helps greatly in the use of all of the brakes.

Honda Civic Denver Wheel Design
Three different trim models of the latest Honda Civic Denver are on the market in the USA and the first has all of the essentials, however, the next two models are more similar to eachother. The wheels on the first are equipped with 16 inch all-season tires and a general cover for each wheel. The second two trims are equipped with the same effective all-season tires but the wheel base on the third trim is 17 inches. Both of these models are designed with very nice looking alloy wheels which are a bit more aesthetically appealing from the exterior than previous versions of the Civic. The 17 inch wheels on the EX-L Civic trim model also bring up the performance capability on the pavement a notch. There are also options to increase tire performance during winter and snow, like installing snow tires and chains. For any maintenance on the vehicle be sure to visit a Denver Honda Service and Repair location.

Most people think that they need a big truck to stay safe in winter driving conditions; however this is not always the case. Cars are usually a little bit lighter than SUV’s and when it comes to harsh weather… lighter can be better for staying in control or regaining control once the vehicle has begun to slide. Drivers in the North are fairly good about maintaining their vehicle in the snow following the rule of handling their car as though there is a cup of coffee on the dash. Denver drivers should follow this same basic principle even though we don’t get snow as often as the north. If we drive as though there is a cup of coffee on the dash then we should make slow and smooth corrections when sliding not sharp and fast corrections. There is no better car to do these smooth maneuvers in than the Honda Civic Denver.

The integrated fog lamps and the new lens cornering lamps help to enhance the higher trims. The Honda Civic basic footprint has been relatively unchanged in the past few years; however the current generation looks more sculpted yet the roofline looks familiar. The Hybrid blends right in with the rest of the Civic family. However most will notice the different wheels, the smaller spoiler and the distinctive front fascia. The Honda Civic Si Denver is the sportier model with some hotter upgrades like the blacked-out eggcrate grille, chrome-tipped exhausts and some nice new wheels to top it off. Another noticeable difference is the rear spoiler that is going to definitely grab some attention. It doesn’t stop there with a sportier inside as well; there is the darker trim, sport seats and the leather wrapped steering wheel. Honda also completely redid the instrument panel in last year’s model adding in the soft-touch surface and replaced the gray plastic with a darker trim. The upper part of the dash is covered in a soft padding that extends all the way around to the upper door trims. The seats look the same as last year since they were just updated with faux stitching that you’ll find throughout the car.

For the new design of the Honda Civic in Denver one thing that stands out the most to us is the styling upgrades. The new Honda Civic has a much sportier look than it’s previous incarnations and it also manages to look much more distinctive than ever before. While the interior of the Honda Civic was previously considered to be a bit more on the lower end side of the style curve the new interior is designed with higher end materials that are built very well and offer a much more elegant interior than you would expect from a vehicle at this price point. The Honda Civic further shows its chops with a full retinue of features inside including Bluetooth connectivity, a rear view camera system and text message functionality. Of course none of these features are earth shattering in their technology, but what makes the Honda Civic stand out from the crowd is that these features are offered as standard fare whereas the competition typically makes you pay extra fees to add them as option packages. None of this means much though, when we consider the kind of driving that we have to do here in Colorado. The Honda Civic has to be able to hold its own in the snow and slush. Let’s take a look at some of the features that will determine if the Honda Civic is up to the task or not.

Honda Civic in Denver Power You Need
The Honda Civic in Denver has the kind of power you need for a good winter driving experience. Let’s explore some of the power options the Honda Civic has to offer. The front-wheel-drive 2013 Honda Civic is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 140 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual and an available five-speed automatic (HF and EX models get the automatic as standard equipment). With the automatic, the Civic returns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg city/39 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined. With the manual these numbers are slightly lower at 28/36/28, whereas they go up to 29/41/33 on the HF model. In performance testing, a Civic EX went from zero to 60 mph in 9.3 seconds — an average time for this segment. The Civic Natural Gas features a version of the same 1.8-liter engine powered by, as its name suggests, natural gas. It produces only 110 hp and 106 lb-ft of torque, however. A five-speed automatic is standard. EPA-estimated fuel economy is the gasoline equivalent of 27/38/31 mpg. The Civic Hybrid gets a 1.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, a combination that’s good for 110 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is standard. The Civic Si’s engine provides output of 201 hp and 170 lb-ft. A six-speed manual is the only transmission offered. EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 22/31/25. As we can see the Honda Civic offers us ample power and a good amount of fuel economy to boot. Of course all of this power also comes with the kind of reliability you need to keep away from Denver Honda Service and Repair.

Honda Civic in Denver Safety, a Top Priority
When it comes to winter driving there is one major consideration, safety, a top priority with the Honda Civic in Denver, and it should be a top priority for you as well. The 2013 Honda Civic comes with standard safety features that include stability control, antilock brakes (four-wheel discs with the EX and Si), front side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems are standard on the Civic Hybrid. In brake testing, a 2013 Civic EX came to a stop from 60 mph in a longish 130 feet. A 2012 Civic Hybrid was a bit better with a stop of 124 feet. At 120 feet, the 2012 Civic Si stopped the shortest for us, but this is still a disappointing distance considering the car was fitted with summer performance tires; other so-equipped sport compacts fared better. The government updated its scores for the 2013 Civic coupe and sedan. The sedan received a perfect five stars overall, with four stars for frontal and five stars for side crash categories. The 2013 Civic coupe received four stars overall, also with four stars for frontal and five stars for side crash categories.

Honda Civic in Denver Superior Power and Safety
We have seen the Honda Civic in Denver offers us superior power and safety, making it a great choice for those winter time driving situations. Not to mention superior reliability that minimizes visits to Denver Honda Service and Repair. We can conclude that the Honda Civic is a top choice for those of us who make our commutes in the harsh Colorado weather and who need to have a more capable vehicle than some other climates demand. You should certainly have the new Honda Civic on the top of your list to test drive and see for yourself.

Many of these improvements come at the behest of critics who, while not being unhappy with the redesign of the Honda Civic in 2012, we’re not quite as satisfied as they could be with the amount of the upgrades. The new touches in the 2013 Honda Civic make good on some of those upgrades and put the Honda Civic back where it belongs, at the head of the pack in the compact car market. The look of the new Honda Civic is much more dynamic than the previous model and is certainly going to impress the entire marketplace. On the interior of the Honda Civic, the cheaper materials that were not a fan favorite in the new redesign have been upgraded to a much more high quality material that gives the Honda Civic a much more luxurious look and feel than ever before. While the overall design has remained basically the same as the previous model the increased quality of the build materials bring the Honda Civic the kind of look and feel that you have come to expect from this favorite in the compact sector.

Honda Civic in Denver design and materials
The design and materials of the Honda Civic in Denver make it comparable to the other vehicles in the compact segment, but where that Honda Civic becomes the standout from the rest of the pack is in the standard features that are included within the cabin. This design is equipped with a five inch monitor which allows you to control your stereo and the phone functions along with some other vehicle system monitoring functions. The quality of the upholstery gets a very noticeable upgrade for the new model year as well. The strategic use of advanced high strength steel throughout the skeleton of your vehicle allows the impact force to be absorbed into the parts of the vehicle that are specifically designed to crumple also that the passenger compartment can remain virtually unharmed. In crash test footage you can see that even after  40 mph head on collision it is possible to open and close the doors of a Honda Civic without any problems at all. This is something that was previously unheard of as the passenger compartment of the Honda Civic even if still safe, would have suffered some type of deformation, but this is simply not the case with the new advanced high strength steels that are available in the new Honda Civic available from Kuni Honda.

ACE or Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body Structured: This structure is totally Honda exclusive design you can see at Littleton Honda Dealer that helps in enhancing the protection of occupants as well as crash compatibility in case of frontal collision. This ACE design makes use of a huge network of structure elements as well as high strength steel in order to easily distribute the crash energy evenly all throughout the front portion of the vehicle. This crash energy management is superb especially since it helps in considerably reducing the forces that is transferred to the compartment of the passengers and help with evenly dispersing the forces, which are otherwise transferred to the other vehicles during a crash.
ABS or Anti Lock Brake System: The ABS makes use of a special kind of modulator to help with pulsing the brakes aiming to prevent the situation of a wheel lockup. This helps since the driver can easily retain his steering control during a situation of a hard braking. The EBD or Electronic Brake Distribution helps in balancing the rear or front braking forces during any dynamic loading. The DRL or Daytime Running Lights: This enhances the visibility to the other drivers simply by incorporation the DRL or Daytime Running Lights up front.

During any case of a rear end impact the head restraints help in moving up and forward thereby reducing any likelihood of a neck injury. The new 2014 Honda Civic in Denver is also fully equipped with a multi threshold and dual stage front airbags or the SRS. Either one of both of the airbags may deploy during an event of a frontal impact. When this gets deployed the airbags are then capable of inflating at various rates entirely depending on the severity of the crash, usage of seat belts or any other factors. At the Littleton Honda Dealer, Honda repeatedly reminds you and the passengers to remain buckled up. Children who are 12 and below are safe when they are retrained properly.
The EBD or electronic brake distribution is an element of the 2014 Honda Civic in Parker’s breaking system. The Electronic Brake Distribution is an exact method of making sure that the right forces of brakes are applied.

The FCW or Forward Collision Warning: There is a small camera that is mounted on top of the vehicle’s front windshield which can easily detect the vehicle’s presence in front. If at all the Forward Collision Warning system does determine that you could be at risk of any collision with a particular detected vehicle then it activates visual and audio alerts as a warning. It is important to note that this system may not be able to detect every single object ahead and at times may not even be able to detect a particular object. The accuracy will entirely be based on speed, weather and many other factors.

The front three point seat belts come with auto tensioners which ride across chest and lap to help with retraining occupants from any sudden impact or stops. During any moderate to severe impact on the side the SmartVent Front Side Airbags come to use. They designed to inflate and deploy quickly to be able to maximize protection for occupants seated. This may help in protecting the upper body of front passenger or driver from any injury. If you want to look in for more details regarding safety or other features you are more than welcome to drop by at the Denver Honda Service and Repair.

Honda Civic in Denver Exterior Features | Kuni Honda in Centennial

The Honda Civic in Denver has for a long time been one of the most popular small cars in the US. Although it has always been a winner in the price battle the Honda Civic has also always featured a superior build, a very reliable powertrain that requires fewer trips to Denver Honda Service and Repair, and an exceptionally low cost of ownership in the event that something does eventually go wrong. The Honda Civic has also always had style on its side. While some of the variants of the Honda Civic have been a bit on the wild side, for the most part the Honda Civic has always been a sporty but still slightly subdued vehicle. Appropriate for the young and the old, the professional and the not so professional alike. Always boasting a wide selection of options from Denver Honda Service and Repair for its consumers the Honda Civic has had variation such as the compact hatchback, the coupe, and the sedan. Each variation always living up to the same solid reputation and the same second to none in the class quality and style. For its latest iteration the Honda Civic received it’s redesign only one year ago. This is certainly the most daring design that the Honda Civic has seen to date and it is something to behold, the lines are sharp and very stark. The small car looks like it is moving very quick even when it is standing still. The Honda Civic is certainly worth a look, but lets take a closer look at some of the exterior features first.

Honda Civic in Denver Forward Thinking
While it may not fall precisely in the exterior feature category this is one of the most forward thinking features so we’re going to cover it anyways. This is the Active Noise Cancellation feature of the Honda Civic that we will be discussing. This isn’t just the materials in the sheet metal of the Honda Civic that act as a sound deadening, although that is still present. The active noise cancellation works very much like it does in those expensive headphones that are the favorite item of business travelers everywhere. The sound system of the Honda Civic in Denver picks up on the engine and road noise that is making its way into the cabin via a microphone that is specifically placed for this task. Then using a process that I won’t even try to attempt to understand or explain here it uses the speakers of the Honda Civic sound system to produce out of phase sound waves that somehow counter the noise. Like I said, I have absolutely no idea how it works, but I know that it does, and I am very pleased with the ultra quiet drive that it produces.

Honda Civic in Denver New Technology
The Honda Civic also features some new technology in the safety arena to help keep you safe and sound in your Honda Civic in Denver. The first of these systems is the Forward Collision Warning. The windshield is equipped with a small camera in the upper corner for vehicles that don’t have the adaptive cruise control or through the radar for those that do your Honda Civic can detect the presence of vehicles in front of you. If the system determines that you are in danger of a collision it sounds the alarm, quite literally through audible and visual alerts to get your attention back where it belongs, on the road and on the person you may be getting up close and personal with if you don’t do something about it. The second feature that works in much the same way is the Lane Departure Warning using the same camera that is used in the collision warning system the lane departure warning focuses on the road markings. If you start to deviate or merge without your turn signals indicating that you intended to do so the Honda Civic gives you a nice alert in the audio and visual range to once again remind you should be paying better attention to where you are going.

Honda Civic in Denver Intelligent Tech
Finally we get to an often overlooked exterior feature that is nevertheless very intelligent tech and very handy technology to save you both lots of frustration and lots of money. I am talking about the Honda Civic in Denver tire pressure monitoring system. This system keeps tabs on the pressure in all of your tires to ensure that you are always maintaining the proper pressures. If you dip below the recommended range than you will receive a warning light in your instrument cluster letting you know that you need to check your tire pressure. Keeping the tires of your Honda Civic at their proper levels doesn’t just save you the expense of having to replace tires due to uneven wear, but it saves you a whole lot of fuel at the pump as well.

Honda Civic in Denver Performance | Kuni Honda in Centennial

For three decades the Honda Civic in Denver  has been one of the top compact vehicles in North America. While most cost competitive compact cars cut corners in styling and construction the Civic has always been known for maintaining high standards of construction and making a vehicle that is engineered just as well as the more expensive models from the automaker. The Civic may also be considered not just a part of, but the backbone of Honda’s reputation for extremely reliable cars resulting in fewer trips to Denver Honda Service and Repair. In a rare twist, this reliability does not mean that the vehicle is an under-performer in the sportiness department, in fact the Civic has long been a top choice for lower budget vehicle tuners because it offers a baseline performance that just can’t be had elsewhere in the price range. Put reliability, performance, and styling together and you’ve got a winner, add great fuel economy into the mix as well and now you have a champion. It isn’t difficult to see why the Civic has remained such a popular model for 30 years.

Honda Civic in Denver Re-Design

The Civic received a complete re-design for the 2012 model year, and unfortunately suffered a bit of a blow to it’s long running reputation that we discussed above. Like the Accord, the Civic suffered from too much focus on softness in ride quality, which did offer a very comfortable ride, assuming to only took corners at under 10 mph. Any faster and the body roll would start to become reminiscent of astronaut g force training resulting in visions of visits to Denver Honda Service and Repair to address the results of Civic on it’s side. The styling also met with mixed reviews most of which landed on the negative side. However, Honda hasn’t built it’s reputation by ignoring their customer base, so the 2013 model has received another refresh that has addressed most if not all of the complaints from the previous model year. The suspension has returned to a more balanced ride, perhaps with a closer focus on sportiness than luxury. This is great news for those of us that like to drive like we are awake. The styling is also a great improvement both inside and out.

Honda Civic in Denver Motors

The base, petrol versions of the Honda Civic in Denver , the DX, LX, and EX are all equipped with a 1.8 liter inline 4 cylinder that produces a respectable 140 horses. While nothing to write home about, these are the base models, and are focused on economy for an everyday driver, so 140 isn’t bad and it allows these models to reach up to 39 mpg. The Civic also offers a hybrid model that can put out 110 horses. I am not as excited about this hybrid than some others on the market in terms of performance, but in terms of pricing it is still not a bad choice. The Honda Civic in Denver is also still offering a CNG model which has the same 110 hp output as the hybrid, of course most CNG buyers are looking more to fuel savings and environmental awareness than performance, and in that respect the CNG Civic is a winner. We’re here to talk about performance though, so lets get down to business and talk about the Si. The Si Honda Civic in Denver  is the performance model and it offers a much bigger 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. Unfortunately, the Si doesn’t offer any forced induction so it’s horse power stays at an only somewhat respectable 201 with 170 pound-feet of torque and hits 60 from a standstill in 6.9 seconds. This is not a great showing compared to other performance coupes, but the Si does offer something the competitors don’t. The reliability of a Honda Civic.

Honda Civic in Denver Transmissions

In the area of getting power from the engine to the wheels the options are somewhat few. I am quite happy to report that the Si Civic has done something in the transmission department that seems like common sense to me, but apparently not to the majority of automakers. The “performance” model actually comes standard with a traditional 6 speed manual transmission. Not only is the 6 speed manual standard, it’s the only transmission offered for the Si Civic. This is the way that it should be when you offer a performance model, and I am terribly proud of Honda for doing it, no more will car buyers suffer the disappointment of finding the perfect car that they have been in search of only to find out that the thing has been ruined with an automatic that takes all of the fun out of driving it. Of course that only applies to performance models. For the regular commuter Honda Civic in Denver an automatic is adequate, and is available for every other trim level.
